The Bob Marshall Foundation (BMF) is dedicated to bringing citizens together to become active wilderness stewards in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. We coordinate volunteers to participate on trail maintenance, campsite restoration and noxious weed eradication projects.
Goals
Maintain an average of 300 miles of trail each season in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex and adjacent wild lands.
Create opportunities for volunteers to participate in other wilderness stewardship activities such as campsite restoration, noxious weed eradication and historic structure maintenance.
Be committed to youth projects where the development of team building skills and work ethics are emphasized.
Foster awareness of wilderness values by incorporating lessons of wilderness ethics, history and ecology during volunteer projects.
Work closely with the public and the Forest Service to identify high priority projects and determine the best methods for addressing trail, campsite and weed problems.
Form cooperative relationships with organizations, businesses and other agencies to achieve these goals with a minimum cost.
