In the past, pre-internet, many people thought there were multiple benefits to be had from listing with an agent through a large company or brokerage because there would be more real estate agents showing the house, or because many large real estate companies might sell their own listings first.
This used to be true when buyers didn't have instantaneous access to the information readily available to them. These days, the agent is often more important than the company.
Bottom line: You have a house to sell and you want buyers to see it.
The best way to get it out there in front of the most people is by using a tech-savvy real estate agent that understands all of the ways to do that.
In addition to marketing your property, it's important that you work with an agent that can price your home right and help guide you in making the right decisions on what to fix, what to leave alone, and other small details.
How can you tell if they are doing this correctly?
Going with a power agent or agent-since-forever isn't always the best bet. Sometimes you'll get lost in the shuffle with big agents, and not get the attention you deserve. With agents that have been around forever, some are incredible resources, while others haven't kept up with technology, construction trends or other issues that are important to stay current on.
My pitch. Are you ready?
I've been in real estate since 1998 as an investor, landlord and private client representative providing aggressive and knowledegable skills in real estate negotiations. I’m new to Small Dog Realty based out of Bozeman, Montana, but bring with me the following skills that set me apart from other agents:
- Tech-savvy: I've taught marketing, web design and unique selling position strategies online and face-to-face to students at Montana State University and private online entrepreneurs since moving here from California in 2008. I understand social media, analytics, and other tips on how to get your property in front of the right audience.
- Plays Well With Others: I've worked with residential clients for almost twenty years in the field of landscape architecture and have intimate knowledge of construction costs, current design trends, and what neighborhood is best for what buyer. I get it on a micro-scale and am passionate about real estate and reading between the lines about your needs and desires.
- Backed by Small Dog Realty: I've worked for larger offices in both real estate and design/construction, and cut my teeth around the best. In addition to playing well with others, I'm backed by a local, passionate real estate office that strives to enjoy the benefits our beautiful region has to offer while sharing this knowledge with our clients. Teamwork means success.
- Call or email me and never say "maybe next year" again!
